Stuff around here

Besides trying to stay cool without a beloved pool, we've been keeping pretty busy here. Josh has been off since Thursday and has all this week off. We were planning on driving up to Mn but changed plans. Carter is horrible in the car and we decided to give our ears a break and save some money instead. Of course we're so sad about not being able to see friends and family but it's working out for the best. The kids were both sick on Saturday with some weird virus so I'm glad we weren't staying with friends and getting theirs sick too.

Josh has been busy with his "honey do" list around Maw Maw's house. He's been busy cutting back trees today. Thankfully Josh enjoys staying busy so I don't have to entertain him at all times!

Carter is learning new things, mainly words, everyday. I thought Ryleigh talked early but he is really talking a lot. He's a typical boy who loves to climb on things, swim, run around, read books and play with mommy and Ryleigh at all times. He hasn't learned the art of playing by himself just yet, but hopefully soon.

Sheetrock is up and the brick is going up today. We're going over later so I'll try to post some more pics.

House updates

The framing is all done! The insulation is in! We have an estimated time frame of the first week in August, hopefully it will work out that way. I think Maw Maw will be ready to have her house back to normal without the overflow of toys and junk that goes along with 2 kids!

Home Sweet Home

The progress and pictures are backwards but you get the drift. All of this was done in a matter of a couple of weeks. It's amazing to watch the process. Josh and I are so blessed. We think we may be move in the middle of August. The electrical work is done now but we'll have to wait on inspections until the sheetrock goes up and the brick goes on. We are so excited about this neighborhood, there are so many kids for Ryleigh to play with.

San Antonio!

What was supposed to be my 30th surprise party turned into a weekend get away for Josh and I. Somebody let me know about the party Josh was planning and my mom was here visiting so we decided to take advantage of the babysitter and head south. We stayed on the Riverwalk, ate, slept in, drank, took naps, layed by the pool, visited the Alamo, and enjoyed each other's company! It was a perfect weekend!

Our 3rd season of T Ball ended last month and I think the kids were actually getting the hang of it. They were scoring runs and getting outs! Ry did great and I was very proud of her for hanging with the boys, she was the only girl and complained about it but I think she secretly loved it.

First Toof!

Check it out, I lost my first toof! And the toof fairy gave me 5 bucks!!

Last Day of Preschool

The last 2 months have been extremely busy to say the least. May brought about moving, closing on our home, Ryleigh's last day of preschool, visitors, parties, and CHAOS!

We've moved in with Josh's grandmother Maw Maw for the summer until our house is finished and she's graciously accepted us and all of our crap that is everywhere. It's been a smooth transition for the kids, they love spending time with their Maw Maw and are doing really great together in the same room. Ryleigh at 5 and a half would much rather be playing with friends than hanging with her mom and brother so I have had the difficult task of keeping her busy at all times so I won't have to hear, "I'm bored" five million times a day.
Later today we're going to get a new incentive "jar". For every nice, polite, helpful, selfless thing that Ryleigh does she gets a certain amount of marbles in her jar. But for the opposite, the marbles will be taken out. She's working on getting a new bike and I'm working on not going crazy having to listen to her complain!
