Happy Anniversary Josh!

Okay so I missed it by a few days, it was on Monday. But a big milestone for us, 5 YEARS. Who would have thunk it that we'd make it this far?! I can't wait to see what the next 5,10,15,20,30,40, years have in store for us....

We celebrated last Thursday for a couple of reasons,

1) it worked out better for Gigi to watch the kiddos that night and

2) I could not STAND not to give Josh his gift. It's something I have been working on for a while now. Actually I planned on doing this about a year ago when I found out I was prego with Carter man but just decided to go through with it a few weeks ago. Quite a project for a short period of time. I made a book for him of "Our Story" consequently the title also. This website called Blurb allows you to upload photos and basically write your own story. Now I had to gather all of the pictures I could find that were not on our computer, have 150 of them scanned onto discs, get this book put together and have it sent back to me in about 2 and a half weeks. I spent quite a few nights on the computer and I'm sure Josh was wondering if I was chatting with my boyfriend (just kidding) but I told him he could not come in or ask me what I was doing. I thought he may have an idea, but when I gave it to him I knew he was clueless! I have never been more excited to give someone a gift, or more nervous about whether or not he would like it. HE LOVED IT! This will for sure be my way of "scrapbooking". So easy and fun and relatively cheap too! I already have a new book in the works which I'll work on over the next year, it will be Carter and Ryleigh.

A Little Comic Relief.....

You know you laughed! It's funny!

June

Let's see, what's new with us.....

Carter had his first set of shots on Monday, he was awesome and didn't even make a huge fuss. He weighs 13 lbs 7 oz and is almost 24 inches long. He is developing a wonderful personality, he smiles when we talk to him and is starting to make the cooing noises. He is still doing awesome at night, mostly sleeping through the night. Yesterday was cloudy so we did some swimming...doesn't really make much sense but it was only 87 and not 100 so he could actually be outside!

Ryleigh is getting sassier by the day. We cut out any TV shows that are not cartoons, (Hannah Montana, Zach and Cody, etc.) months ago but that hasn't seemed to curb the attitude. I just have no idea where she gets it........

We've done things friends at different play places to keep busy and stay cool and we are looking forward to a trip to South Dakota the beginning of August to visit my parents. Josh will fly to Chicago for a wedding on the 7th and we'll head home shortly after that. The only sad part is we aren't visiting Mn this year. It's just not going to work out this summer but hopefully I will be flying up for a girls weekend sometime this fall. And LeAnn and Ally will be visiting Texas the end of August so I guess it's not too bad.

Tonight we're hosting a "directors retreat" at our house for Josh's work. We'll swim and cook out and enjoy some good company!

Here are some new pictures, I am really bad about taking them this time around. I have a million of Ryleigh but not as many of Carter Man. I need to get better at that so he doesn't have a complex when he's older and sees there aren't any pics of him.
Check out my rolly arms
Ryleigh and Alex at Incredible Pizza
Ry and Jenna at Doogoland, yes that's what it's called.
