Could it be?

So last night was the second night in a row that my little man has slept through the night! Yep, that's right, slept from 11 until I had to wake him up at 7!!! I feel like a new woman with all of this sleep. He still isn't the best sleeper during the day (unless he is sleeping on me) but I'll take what I can get. I'm thinking this is probably going to be short lived and that he is probably going through a little growth spurt but I am a-okay with it!
Ryleigh finished her week at camp and is ready to go back next year. She had so much fun!
Tonight Josh and I are off to McKinney for Tony and Stacey's couples shower at Brad and Kym's. Carter is coming with us and Ryleigh will stay with Maw Maw. She needs a quiet night, she and Kirk were playing last night until almost midnight and she had to get up this morning for the summer season of Tball. Thankfully Mommy got to sleep in...Mojito madness officially started last night. Uh oh.
Carter being a good patient for Dr. Ryleigh
He HATES getting out of the bath.
He loves sitting in the tub chillin but as soon as he is out he is SO mad!
This was a smile, which are becoming more and more frequent but of course my camera has to flash a hundred times before I can catch it. Can you see the rolls in the arm creases? Love them!

4 Week Check Up

Last Friday we had Carter's 4 week check up. They really do nothing except weigh and measure him. At his 2 week, he grew almost 3 inches and at this one he shrunk. He is now only 22 inches, which turns out to be in the 95 percentile for his age but I keep wondering if all of the professionals measuring him are using different standards. He was also a whopping 10 lbs 7 oz. He is growing so much and developing "rolls" all over. These past 5 weeks have gone by SO fast!
As you can see, he loves tummy time.

T Ball Banquet

Ry's first season came to and end also. Grandma got to watch her last game, which she was thrilled about. We had the banquet where the kids each got a trophy and a ball. She wasn't crazy about playing again during the summer but Daddy volunteered to be the assistant coach again so she doesn't really have a choice! I know she'll be happy to play again and most of the kids she played with are playing again. Most of the parents are so nice, I'm glad we'll be able to keep it touch throughout the summer. I'm just not sure if we'll survive the 8:30 am games on Saturdays! I guess they have to be so early so the kids (and parents) won't be too hot.

Kym had the great idea of starting to take newborn pictures in their nursery so she came over Memorial weekend and took some GREAT pictures. Once again, I have to decide what to choose, they are all so wonderful! Here is the link to the gallery. Password is Carter.

Let me know what you think!

Last Day of Preschool

Ry and Mrs. Knight

Ry's last day was sad for the both of us. Ry will miss her friends and I will miss my semi quiet Tuesday/Thursdays. I have officially become one of "those" parents who wonders, "What the heck are we going to do all summer?!" Her school year was great and we'll miss her teachers but I'm glad she'll be moving up with an older group of kids next year. Some of the kids in her class are still 3, and there is a big difference between them. I am so glad that she started out her school experience at Fielder Road (also where we attend church). She'll go one more year there, then it's off to Kindergarten!

Mom's here!

What an awesome week. Grandma was able to spend a ton of time with the kids and helped me out a ton. I took a couple of naps and when Carter was wide awake at 7 a.m., I brought him right in to Grandma who didn't mind at all! And as usual, Ryleigh was a stinker towards my mom. Thankfully she doesn't take it personally or let it hurt her feelings. We decided that Ry probably doesn't like that Grandma takes up too much of my time, away from her. Ryleigh was not shy about letting her know she was ready to put her on the plane on Monday. I hate that she acts that way, but Ry is Ry. It was hard for her to go this time, she bonded a lot with Carter. On the bright side, Grandpa bought us each a webcam so we can see each other and talk whenever we want to!
