Christmas Day Ryleigh woke up with a 103 degree fever and walked out to the Christmas tree, crying. It was the saddest thing I've ever seen. Not the way a parent anticipates Christmas morning to go! Poor baby, she felt so bad, but chippered up a little with some Tylenol and a look at her new scooter from Santa. Josh started feeling bad too, and wanted nothing to do with the turkey I made so I had the mans job of carving it. It was a relaxing day, didn't have to go anywhere, which was a blessing considering everyone was feeling under the weather. Gigi and Papa and Aunt Jess stopped by to hand out presents. Ryleigh got a V motion and a realistic baby from Maw Maw. I'm not kidding, this thing cries, sucks on a bottle or paci, it's chest moves up and down when it goes to sleep, and it giggles and says Mama and Dada. It's borderline creepy. But Ryleigh LOVES it!
Josh's brother Joseph stopped by also to say good bye, he went back to San Diego on Friday. All in all it was a great Christmas and Josh and I have so many things to be thankful for right now. Our blessings are countless and we hope the New Year will bring the same for you and your family!
Carving my first turkey, it's comparable to the size of my belly!
