I had my 1 day follow up appointment this morning and I now have 20/20 vision! I am so happy I cannot even begin to explain. This was the weirdest, yet, best thing I have had done. Josh got to watch the procedure and sort of tell me what they were doing. I still don't think it's set in yet that I never have to wear contacts or glasses again. I am going to donate my glasses to the Lion's club and throw my contacts away! Whoo Hoo! I'll post a pic Josh insisited we take of me in my "space goggles" later. We're off to take Ryleigh to see Wall E.

Friday's the big day

Wow, I had my consultation yesterday and my surgery is scheduled f0r Friday afternoon. I am super excited and it seems that everywhere I go, I meet or talk to someone who has had this done and loves the results. I am really excited. I hope it goes well.

Ry is on the archiver's site again.....
She's wearing my huge sunglasses and the 3 next to that are of her too. My aunt Molly is SO talented. I wish I was able to do those types of things. someday....

Lasik anyone?

Tomorrow I have my first eye appointment to see if I am a candidate for Lasik surgery. I am so excited at the thought of being able to see when I wake up in the morning and not having to fumble around for my glasses. I'm hoping to get it done as quick as I can. My parents will be here in a few weeks and I know they will be very excited to have it done as they are getting it done for me for my birthday present. What an awesome present!!! So my question is, have any of you out there had this done or know someone who has? I'd love to hear your input and stories about this topic. I am clueless as of right now.

Happy Birthday Jeanne!

The month of June is filled with birthdays for our family, today is my awesome mother-in-law's birthday! Which means there will be a great party to go along with it! I must say, it is one of the things that I look forward to in the summer. I will, however, NOT be having any jello shots. I still remember my nasty hangover that lasted all day 3 weeks ago, and it was my bday too! YUCK! The party will still be fun without them.

The weekend should be really great, I have a childhood friend and her husband in for the weekend from MN. They are checking out the area to maybe relocate here.

And the best news of all......are you ready? I am the only one who will care about this but it made my day......The Black Crowes will be here again in November!!! Yipee for me and Joshy!

Happy Father's Day

Today I am grateful. Ryleigh is so blessed to have such an awesome daddy and I was able to see my dad only a week ago. For those who have their father's close to them, take advantage, those of us who do not are envious.

Fathers do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Ryleigh's First Haircut

I know, she's 3 and has never had a haircut.....until last week. I have been putting it off for a while now, but it needed to be done. I could barely get a comb through it after bath, not to mention the HUGE screaming fits she has when I do try to make it look presentable. So I really wanted Jamie to do it. I guess it was a sentimental thing for a friend to do it rather than some random stranger down here. So, Jamie being the best hairdresser ever, drove to the hotel we were at, with her baby, cut my hair over a bathtub and then cut Ry's on the counter as you can see. AND, she had to deal with Ry's little attitude too. Jamie would say to her, "Okay, now look down and hold really still like a statue" to which Ryleigh replied,"No, I don't want to." Can you believe that would come out of my sweet little baby's mouth?! It turned out great and I have some hair for her baby book. I thought I would cry my eyes out and the curls would be all gone but I think it actually looks more curly now that it's healthy. Thanks Jamie, Love ya!!!

We're home!

Where have the last 2 weeks gone? Let's see, I celebrated my 28th birthday with family hanging out in the pool. What could be better than that? The Dairy Queen ice cream cake that my wonderful hubby drove all over town to find. It was delicious and gone in 20 minutes. No, I didn't eat the entire thing myself (although I probably could have).

The next day we drove to South Dakota. What an awesome, relaxing time. I love going there, it's so peaceful and quiet. Josh has never really been out in the country so it's new to him. He and my dad did boy things like shoot guns and golf. Grandpa bought Ryleigh her first fishing pole, a Barbie one, of course. They didn't catch any fish but it was funny to watch my dad fish with a tiny pink fishing pole. I'm also not sure if Ry is the fishing "outdoorsy" type. When Grandpa was putting the worm on the hook she yelled at him, "Grandpa, you're hurting him!"
Next it was off to MN for a wedding reception. It was so much fun as usual. I never expect to have anything but a blast with my group of friends. I am so lucky to have such an awesome group of girls and guys. I have to say one of my favorite things was meeting all of the new babies, 4, to be exact, and they are all so cute and good and I just wanted to squeeze all of them at once. (In a good, I love your chubby legs sort of way, not a weird way.) And what better way to end a vacation then with a pyramid.......
